Customer Reviews of the Razor E300:
Check chain tension before riding!!!!

Like some reviews, my 8-year-old son’s first E300 only ran about ten minutes per charge and 13mph max speed (yes, I have a radar gun). Troubleshooting sent us toward a dragging brake, but the brake adjustment was fine. The chain, however, was super tight (I’m an old motorcycle racer, so I know a lot about chain tension). I loosened the chain tension, but no improvement,…

Not enough power, battery life

I am very happy with the scooter except that it lacks power to go up even small hills without overheating (so that you have to push it, let it cool, then press the reset button after a few minutes). It cannot operate 45 minutes continuously as claimed, more like 25 minutes, and has a much more limited range than the inferred 7.5 miles (45 minutes at 10 mph), more like 3…

A great product — recommended

For starters, ignore the comments that rate this item poorly; they didn’t like the color! I purchased the Razor e125 for my nine year old son. It assembles easily in a few minutes. He loves it and it is easy to use. It moves him along at a good speed, but not too fast. The motor has plenty of torque and it holds a good charge, lasting about 40 minutes or so. The…

Fun scooter!

I purchased the Razor e125 for myself – just for fun! It assembles easily in a few minutes. Easy to use. I did not realize that you needed to get it going at 3 mph before the motor kicks in. So I would probably have preferred the next model up. It’s still a lot of fun – all my friends have tried it! We are all over 21!!!

Razor E100 Electric Scooter Review
 |
If you’re looking for the perfect electric scooter for your child, the Razor E100 is a really good choice. It is great fun to ride, yet it’s not too fast, giving a maximum speed of 10 miles per hour. So you certainly don’t need to worry about your child riding dangerously or breaking the speed limit! Also, the E100 will keep your child amused for a long time, as the battery really does hold a lot of charge.
The only real bad thing to say about the E100 is that the chain guard can sometimes scrape on the ground if you turn corners too sharply. Although really this is just about riding style, and once your child gets used to riding it in a more upright style they shouldn’t really find it a problem.

Great little Scoot

I purchased this for my 8 year old. This has been a joy of his for quite a few months. It runs well, peppy and the battery seems to hold up for a very long riding period. He has had times in excess of 1 hr. riding around the house and driveway.
The only thing which is minor that annoys me is that when you corner very sharply the chain protector drags the…

Great fun for kids.

Our son has used his E100 for almost a year now, got it for his 7th birthday. He rides it a while almost every day on the street in front of our home, no long treks. It’s been reliable and performs as advertised. I would guess that our son goes about as fast as someone running fast (running, not jogging), sometimes faster going downhill. The brake is a bit weak but not bad. At age 7, our son has behaved safely with it, stops and waits off the road if a car comes and no crazy stunts, so I would say it is suitable for his age, but obviously every kid has different maturity levels so parents have to judge on their own. Lots of fun, impresses his friends, and reliable.
